We have an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Anatomical Pathology Technician to join our busy mortuary service.

We are looking for a professional self-motivated individual with proven experience of working in a busy mortuary setting. You will have excellent communication skills be a team player and have an ability to demonstrate empathy towards bereaved relatives. You will hold an RSPH Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology (level 4 equivalent) or have demonstrable equivalent experience.

You must be able to perform as part of a team but equally able to work unsupervised.

The duties required are :-

 * Undertake post-mortem duties including high risk PM’s

* Support bereaved relatives with viewings and identification of deceased patients
* Receipt and release of deceased patients 
* Participation in out of hours on call rotas is essential

 

Requirements:

* DBS

* Valid visa/passport

*HCPC
