Locum Primary Care

West-Central London

Currently seeking a Locum Primary Care for a job opening in the Oxford area. The ideal candidate will hold a MBBS/MRCGP and must be GMC registered.

Responsibilities of the Locum GP (General Practitioner)

  • Respond to medical/health problems presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate.
  • Commission health care by liaising with medical professionals in the community and hospitals.
  • Promote health education in conjunction with other health professionals.
  • Organize preventative medical programs for individual patients.
  • Provide specialist clinics for specific conditions or for certain groups, e.g. diabetes, smoking cessation and new babies.
  • Manage resources to handle targets as effectively as possible, for example, using the NHS e-Referral Service.
  • Have basic abilities for work, such as maintaining patients' records using specific packages.
  • Keep up to date with medical developments, new drugs, treatments and medications, including complementary medicine.

Requirements of the Locum GP (General Practitioner)

  • MBBS/MRCGP
  • GMC Registered
  • DBS
  • Valid visa/passport

Compensation of the Locum GP (General Practitioner)

  • Salary: £85 - 95 per hour
