CAMHS Practitioner Band 6 / Assistant Psychologist Band 4 Job Description

• CAMHS Early Intervention Service
• To provide support and psychological care primarily to the clients of Urgent Care Team but also within generic CAMHS
• This could include providing psychological assessmenta and psychological interventions of a routine nature such as psycho-educational programmes, groups(e.g. DBT) under the direct supervision of a qualified clinical/counselling psychologist
• To work within the UCT Clinical Lead to analyse and coordinate clinical data and produce reports as appropriate
• To assist in the overall clinically related administration of the team such as conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audits, quality improvement and/or research projects, training and teaching and project work
• To assist the Urgent Care Team clinicians in conduction assessments, ward reviews and 7 day follow ups
• North West London
• 5 day a week work pattern of 8-4 or 12-8 and long days are also possible 8-8
• 3 months (possibility of extension)
• Up to £23 per hour depending on experience and banding

Requirements

• Must have relevant CAMHS experience
• Assistant Psychologist:
  • an upper second class honours degree or higher in psychology
  • entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
• Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner/CAMHS Practitioner:
  • registration with NMC or HCPC 
• DBS or Police Check
• Registered with relevant goverment body (HCPC)
