CAMHS Practitioner Band 6 Job Description
- CAMHS Practitioner Band 6
- CAMHS Single Point of Access (SPA)
- To provide a service involving processing non-crisis referrals of children and young people referred to CAMHS across the Children's Directorate
- To triage each referral for risk and make a decision about whether referral meets the threshold for face-to-face assesement in one of the CAMHS pathways teams
- The job includes managing a small caseload in main CAMHS, providing assessment and therapeutic intervention as a minimum of 20% of the role

- 3 months
- Up to £28 per hour depending on experience
Requirements
- Must have post-qualification experience in assessment and treatment with children, young people and families
- Must have experience in a CAMHS role and setting relevant to CAMHS
- Must have experience working with systems around the young person eg family, schools etc
- A recorded/registered qualification in one of the following at graduate level: nursing, social work,occupational therapy, arts therapy or within a psychological therapy
- DBS or Police Check
- Registered with relevant goverment body
