Biomedical Scientist Job Description

• Speciality - Band 6 Biochemistry
• Location - Belfast
• Start date - ASAP
• Contract Length - Ongoing
• Pay Rate - £25 - £26 per hour
• Mon - Fri 09:00-17:30
• Specialist Biochemistry Biomedical Scientist with a minimum of 24 months post registration experience
• Knowledge of use of Roche Cobas 8000 and cITM middleware desirable but full training will be provided.
• Suitable candidate will be expected (after suitable training) to test routine patient samples and report results, validate COVID-19 reports, phone abnormal results to clinics.
• Complete daily maintenance on the equipment and process IQC and EQA samples.
• The Biochemistry department if fully UKAS accredited and has IBMS approval for training pre and post registration biomedical scientists.

Requirements

• 1 year(s) post graduate experience
• Valid Passport/Visa
• Fully compliant and cleared to work
• DBS or Police Check
• HCPC Registered
