Pharmacy Job Description

• Speciality -   Band 7 Locum Pharmacist
• Location - Preston
• Start date - ASAP
• Contract length - 2 Months
• Pay rate - £30 ph
• Description: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, although some flexibility can be applied. Seeking inpatient Pharmacist on mental health inpatient unit. There are 2 wards on site, one of which is a functional mental health ward and the other is an Older Adult ward nursing mostly patients with a Dementia. Whilst they have no dispensary and the provision of medication for their inpatients is via a service level agreement from a third party provider the post holder will be required to provide a predominantly clinical role. This will consist of largely but not solely the following activities: clinical verification of prescription charts, prescribing advice, medicines reconciliation on admission and discharge and patient counselling. Ideally the post holder will have experience of working with patients who have a diagnosis of mental ill health whether that be within a specialist mental health service environment or more broadly within previous roles.

• Fully compliant and cleared to work
• DBS
