Occupational Therapy Job Description

• Speciality - Band 6 Rehab OT
• Location - Birmingham
• Start date - ASAP
• Contract Length - Ongoing
• Pay Rate - £24-26 per hour
• To be responsible for the provision of Occupational Therapy within the Division in a variety of settings.
• To be responsible for prioritising team and own caseload and assisting junior staff, Rehabilitation Technicians/Therapy Support Workers and Rehabilitation Assistants to manage their caseloads ensuring effective handover of caseloads during periods of absence.
• To actively contribute in the promotion and development of Falls Awareness, in conjunction with partner agencies raising general awareness within the community with the aim of reducing falls risk factors.
• To ensure, where possible, that all intervention is evidence based, utilising appropriate outcome measures when applicable.
• To assist in setting professional and service standards and participate in the auditing of these standards.
• To be professionally accountable and responsible for all aspects of own work, including the generic and or specialist assessment of patients with a variety of conditions, ascertaining appropriate information, analysing their physical, social and psychological needs and sign posting to the appropriate professionals within the team and/or external agencies.
• To assess, reassess and provide appropriate occupational therapy interventions and treatment programmes based on sound clinical reasoning and tailored to fit regularly reviewed patient-centred goals. To ensure delivery of these programmes within the EICT parameters of intervention.

Requirements

• 1 year(s) post graduate experience
• Valid Passport/Visa
• Fully compliant and cleared to work
• DBS or Police Check
• HCPC Registered
