Globe Locums launches candidate referral - tree growing - refer-a-friend scheme
Globe Locums, the UK’s leading locum healthcare recruitment brand has launched a new environmental initiative to ‘grow one tree’ for every candidate referral they receive. In partnership with WeForest this innovative and ecological scheme gives healthcare professionals the chance to give back to the environment whilst earning rewards for the people they refer.
WeForest is a non-profit association with a global reach, whose focus is on halting Global Warming through large-scale reforestation projects in tropical countries.
James Dodwell, Director of Globe Locums said; “We know that environmental issues are at the centre of many our locums’ concerns. It’s something that they, and we are deeply passionate about addressing and tackling. Our partnership with WeForest provides a platform for the healthcare professionals we work with to make a positive impact on the planet as well as compensating their carbon footprint.”
The new referral scheme promises to grow a tree for every candidate Globe Locums receive – not just every candidate placed – this allows for a much stronger impact with WeForest and the Brazilian Atlantic Forest project. To kick-start the partnership, Globe Locums has made a pre-donation of 565 trees to be grown.
James Dodwell goes on to say; “We wanted to be a business that sets the example to others and we felt this was the perfect vehicle to do this.”
